<論説>いわゆる「日本型賃金体系」および「日本型労働組合」の端緒的成立 : 第一次大戦後における八時間労働日制の実現をめぐつて

Abstract

「日本型賃金体系」＝年功序列型賃金、きわめて甚しい賃金格差、「日本型労働組合」＝企業別組合、これらの克服は現在の労働運動の核心的課題であるに止まらず、わが国の全般的な社会的進歩の実現途上に横たわる重要な国民的課題であることが痛感されている。それらのものが、日本社会の深部に、恐らくは日本資本主義の性質自体に根ざすものであることが、国民的経験によつて感得され、それらの解決への積極的努力が開始されたわけである。そこで歴史学に次の問題が提起されることになつた。すなわち「それらの歴史的規定性は何か、それらを生成・発展・消滅させる諸条件は何か」。本稿は、それらの成立期に焦点を合せ、それらがいかなる諸矛盾の所産であるかを明らかにすることを目的としている。

To supplant the 'Japanese form of wage' or the seniority wage rule, extraordinarily wide margin of wage, and 'Japanese form of labor union' or industrial union is not only the central problem of the present labor movement, but an important national problem on the road of general social progress in our country. This problem is keenly felt in our national experience, lying in the depths of Japanese society, or may-be in the character of Japanese capitalism itself. an active effort to solve this problem has begun. To historians, therefore, the following problems are offered:'What is their historical denouement?' 'What are the conditions of their formation, their development, and their disappearance?' This article clarifies them by focusing attention upon their formation, and treating the contradictions of their creation.
