<論説>南宋の類省試

Abstract

南宋高宗建炎元年春正月は科挙の省試を行うべき時期に当つていたが、靖康の難のため施行することが出来なかつた。同年十二月揚州の行在に駐蹕していた高宗は一つの詔を発し、本来礼部が主宰して都で行うべき省試を仮に各路の転運使主宰のもとに州軍に於て明春を期して行うことにした。これを類省試 (又は類試) と言う。この類省試施行の主要動機は全軍侵寇の兵火の中を梗塞せる道路を辿つて、全国挙人が仮の都揚州に赴き省試をうけるという危険と不便を省こうというにあった。 この類省試によく似たものに北宋仁宗朝以来、別頭試なるものがあり、矢張り転運使の主宰するところであつた。該試も一に類試ともいい、南宋の類省試も類試という別称を持つていて甚だ紛らわしい。そこで、本論攷では別頭試の起原と沿革とについて先ず述べ、両者の区別を明にし、しかる後類省試の具体的なる施行法とその改廃変遷の次第について述べたいと思う。

Owing to the invasion of Chin 金 and fall of the Capital Kai-Fan 開封, the state examination could not be held in January of the first year of Chien-Yen 建炎. The Emperor Kai-tsung 高宗, for the sake of convinience, decided to conduct the examination on the responsibility of Chuan-Yün-Shih 転運使 instead of on the responsibility of Li-Pu 礼部. This examination was called Lei-hsêng-shih 類省試 or Lei-Shih 類試. In this treatise I intend to explain system and vicissitudes of Lei-hsêng-Shih in south-Sung dynasty.
