<論説>大和盆地に分布する小字「クラノマチ (ツボ) 」の考察 : 我が平安時代における郡郷等の正倉院追究の一試論

Abstract

大和盆地には所謂条里地割の坪々に付せられた通称としての小字名が多数残存している。その中に「クラノマチ」 「クラノッボ」と称するものが一七例 (他に所謂大和盆地外に三例) みられる。筆者はその小字が、平安時代に広く施行された郡郷、その他官田の正倉敷地疑＝正倉院を踏襲するものではあるまいかと考えている。本稿ではその考えを (一) 文献史料によってかかる地名成立の時代・契機を探ること、 (二) 大和においてもぞうした倉院が存在したことを明らかにすること、 (三) 「院」と「町」との性格上の類同性を論ずること、 (四) 敷地面積を推定して条里制下の単位区劃の面積と関連づけること、 (五) 倉院はいかなる地点に立地しなけれぽならなかったかの条件をあてはめてみること、等によって証明しようと試みたものである。

In the Yamato 大和 basin have many Koaza 小字 remained as a common name for each Tsubo 坪 of the so-called Jôri 条里 lots; among them we can count seventeen examples in what was called as 'Kuranomachi' or 'Knranotsubo'. We may think that those Koaza were named after Gun or Gô 郡・郷 and among others Shôsô 正倉 site or Shôsôin 正倉院 of Kanden 官田 and others. This article will develop the following problems : -- (1) Traching some resources to the forming period of this name and its circumstance. (2) explaining the existence of such Sôin 倉院 even in the Yamato 大和 country like others. (3) Studying the identity between 'In' 院 and 'Chô' 町. (4) Researching its relation with the unit dimensions of Jôri 条里 by estimating the site area. (4) Regulating the locating conditions of Sôin and applying to each example.
