<論説>第二～三世紀における倭人の社会

Abstract

魏志倭人伝は魏志の東夷伝の末端の一節であるが、従来之を単独の記堪の如くに扱い、倭人の国家と社会とに関する重要な参考史料が烏丸鮮卑東夷伝一巻の中に含まれていることを全く軽視している。喩者は先に魏志における至と到との文字の使用法に区別あることに滸眼し、行程記事の新読法により邪馬台国•投馬国及び自女王国以北の位脳について考定したが、この論文では倭人伝所見の第二i三世紀の社会にかんして烏丸鮮卑東夷伝を重視することに依つて新説を提唱する。先ず倭人の社会にかんする史料としての倭人伝の性質について考え、次に倭人の社会が瓶史発展の段階上末期部族社会に属することを論じ、進んで倭人の国邑•大人・下戸・宗朕・門戸・家の何たるかを説き、更に常人における身分と非常人たる奴婢及び生口の本質並に婦人の地位について述ぺる。

Though Wei-chih-wo-Jên-ch'uan 魏志倭人伝 is a chapter at the end of Tung-i-ch'uan 東夷伝 in Wei-chih 魏志, it has been treated as an independent article and it has been neglected that it was an important referencial source in relation to the state and society of Wo-Jên 倭人, and that it was included in a volume of Wu-wan-hsien-pi-tung-i-ch'uan 烏丸鮮卑東夷伝. The writer has already decided that the situation of Yamadaikoku 邪馬台国 was in the northern Kyûshû 九州 by the new reading method of the traveling artcles; moreover about the Second and third centuries' society in Wo-Jên-ch'uan 倭人伝 a new theory shall be offered from some source materials. This article, at first, treats the nature of Wo-Jên-ch'uan as a material of Wo-Jên's society; and then it discusses the existence of Wo-Jên's society in the late tribe period judging from the steps of historical development; further more it explained Kokuyû 国邑, Yûraku 邑落, Taijin 大人, Geko 下戸, Sôzoku 宗族, Monko 門戸, and Ie 家, but also status in common people, the nature of Nuhi 奴婢 and Seikô 生口, and the position of women.
