<論説>抱朴子の世界 (上)

Abstract

従来の儒学の権威から解放された魏晋人は、彼らの興味をあらゆる方面にむかって自由に活動させはじめた。「抱朴子」の著者である葛洪 (二八三－三四三) が、その内篇において、神仙の理論と技術をのべているのも、そのひとつのあらわれである。しかし、彼が亡国の末裔として江南に生まれ、そしてまた抱朴子が東晋王朝成立の前夜に書かれたことが、抱朴子のうえに特殊な影をおとしている。筆者は、こうした歴史的存在としての葛洪と抱朴子の内容を密接に関連させながら、抱朴子内外篇を有機的にとらえてみたいと思う。

People in the Wei-tsin 魏晋 era, emancipated from the authority of thr traditional Confucianism, began to freely take their interest in every direction. It is a symptom that Kê-hung 葛洪 (283-343), author of the work "Pao-p'u-tzŭ" 抱朴子, stated the theory and technique of fairy in its contents. A special shadow was casted on the work, judging from his native place of Chiang-nan 江南 as a descendant of the ruined people and the period before the establishment of Tung-tsin 東晉 when his book was drawn up. This article treats Pao-p'u-tzŭ-nui-wai-p'ien 抱朴子内外篇 organically, in close relation between Kê-hung 葛洪 as a historical existence and the contents of Pao-p'u-tzŭ.
