<論説>ツェワン・アラブタンの登場

Abstract

清朝と北アジアの覇権を争い、ついに敗れて終った北アジア最後の遊牧王国ともいうべきズーンガル (準噶爾) 王国の全盛期の基を開いたツェワン・アラブタン (策旺阿喇布担) の治績については、未だ不明の点が多い。本稿では、かれが前王のガルダンに背いて、イリ地方のボロタラに拠り、以後ガルダンに対する一大敵国をなすに至った過程を述べるとともに、ガルダンに代ってズーンガル王に即位したツェワン・アラブタンが、一七〇一年に始まるヴォルガ・カルムックの内乱に介入し、一七〇四年にその部衆一万人を詐取して、これらを自己の所属の支配階級たるザイサン (宰桑) らに分給することによって、王権の確立に成功した事実を明らかにした。

There were many unknown problems about the administration of Ts'ê-wang A-la-pu-t'an 策旺阿喇布坦 who opened the golden age of the Dzungar 準噶爾 kingdom, so-called the last nomadic kingdom in the northern Asia and struggled for hegemony against Ching 清 dynasty in vain. In this article, explaining the process that he became a great enemy of Borotara in Ili country against previous king Galdan, we also present the fact that Ts'ê-wang A-la-pu-t'an 策旺阿喇布坦, acceded to the throne for Galdan, intervened in the Volga-Kalmuk riot since 1701, and succeeded in the establishment of monarchy by sharing its defrauded ten-thousand people among his ruling class zaisang 宰桑 in 1704.
