<論説>蝦夷の叛乱と律令国家の崩壊 : 元慶二年の出羽の叛乱を中心として

Abstract

律令制的基盤のほとんどすべてを失いながらも、九世紀の政治がなおかつ律令制的支配機構に依存しておしすすめられたことはどういうことであるか。それはすでに指摘されるように、基本的にはとってかわるべき階級が未成熟であるということではあるが、それと同時に律令国家の規定性という点にも配慮すべきではないか、これが前に発表した二三の小論の基本的な発想である。しかし先の小論のすべてが、むしろ中央政治の問題に集中して、現実の支配の矛盾の問題についてはかなり観念的になっていた。そこで本稿では元慶二年春から秋田の地におこった蝦夷の叛乱を中心として、当時における国家のあり方を蝦夷社会の生産条件との対抗関係において具体的に究明しようとした。この対応のなかに律令国家の崩壊=「摂関政治」成立の直接の前提を明らかにする素材が含まれており、またそれは律令国家支配の成立過程の分析にも一つの素材を提供することになるはずである。

Why was the politics in the 9th century still executed through dependence on the ruling structure of the Ritsuryo 律令 system, losing almost all the foundation of the Ritsuryo system? The reason is, as it has been pointed out, the fact that the inheritable class was fundamentally under immature condition and also regularization of the Ritsuryo state should be considered; this is the idea of our several monographs already published. All these monographs, however, were centralized into the problem of central politics and were to be idealistic on the point of real contradiction of government. Then this article examines concretely the existence of the state at the time, in its confronting relation with the productive conditions of the Ezo 蝦夷 society around the Ezo's Rebellion in Akita 秋田 since spring in the 2nd year of Gangyo 元慶. This correspondence includes material that explains the direct premise of "dissolution of the Ritsuryo state" "formation of the Sekkan 攝關 government", and also it will offer a material for analysis of the forming process in ruling the Ritsuryo state.
