dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study was to analyze the findings of a teacher training program using Qualitative Measurement Sheets (QMS), which were developed with the assistance of elementary school teachers, and to identify the limitations of this training program. The reason for conducting this teachers' training was to provide feedback based on the research findings to schools and teachers who cooperated in the QMS development. The training was conducted by the author and consisted of the following three sections: reflection on each teacher's educational activities using QMS in one year; group discussions on changes observed in students and the reason for these changes; and evaluation of the teacher training program. The analysis of the worksheets used in this training led to the following three findings: 1. Teachers look at educational activities and students in relation to their individual efforts and are not conscious of school-wide or grade-wide efforts. 2. However, this outlook of the teachers should not be taken negatively. 3. The school management should take steps to improve the teachers' outlook or the management of the school that is based on such an outlook. With regard to the evaluation of the training program, while it was a good opportunity for reflecting on the teachers' educational activities and inculcating mutual understanding among them, the lack of time and the merits and demerits of group discussion were some of the issues that were pointed out.en
