<研究ノート>新しい社会(Society5.0)を創造する学校教育に関する考察

Abstract

From ancient times until the current period, there have been several distinct stages in the progression of human societies: hunter-gatherer, agriculture, and manufacturing. Presently, we are in what is referred to as the "information society". But it is expected that around the year 2030, a 5th type of society will come about; Society5.0. This new society will be unique in that it will be largely developed by, and reliant upon, AI and related technologies. The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) has created a new project called "Education2030", which aims to create a basic educational framework for each of its member countries, taking into account each nation's unique circumstances and current situation. Such a major change of the education system will depend on the mutual cooperation of the member nations. The Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) has created a new policy with which it hopes to advance the quality of education and in turn promote the necessary talents of students which will be applicable in the global society. These reforms have drawn international attention, and it is hoped that this new project will generate a discussion of how the educational system should be improved leading up to the year 2030. Japan is expected to be a leader in this discussion. I sincerely hope to continue my research for the development of the education system as part of the creation of the new society, Society5.0.
