An introduction to the trapping experienced by biased random walk on the trace of biased random walk (Probability Symposium)

Abstract

We introduce and summarise results from the recent paper 'Biased random walk on the trace of biased random walk on the trace of. . .' [10], which was written jointly with M. P. Holmes (University of Melbourne). We also present additional discussion on some of the conjectures made in [10]. The content of this article is loosely based on the presentation given by the author at the Probability Symposium held at the Research Institute for Mathematical Sciences, Kyoto University in December 2018.
