植民都市の特性と類型 : オランダ植民都市研究

Abstract

l am carrying out the research project on colonial cities titled 'Comparative Study on Form ation and Domestication of Colonial Cities'(1997-98) and 'Field Research on Origin, Transformation, Alteration and Conservation of Urban Space of Colonial cities'(1999-2002) sponsored by Ministory of Education and Science of Japan. I wrote an article 'The Builders of Colonial Cities/ Planners of Western Urban Planning'(traverse 1, 2000) as a momorandom at the beginning of the project, which was mainly focused on British Colonial Cities. Now I am consentrating on Dutch Colonial Cities and preparing publish a book "Modern World System and Colonial Cities --Studies on Dutch Colonial Cities". This article is a part of introduction of forthcommg book.
