On endomorphisms of projective toric varieties

Abstract

For any projective toric variety X defined over a field of characteristic zero, there exist non-isomorphic surjective endomorphisms f : X → X in which the characteristic completely invariant divisor is a proper subset of the boundary divisor, the complement of the open torus. One can construct also an equivariant version of such endomorphisms with respect to involutions of X preserving the boundary divisor.
