| dc.description.abstract | This paper intends to reinterpret Marxian economics within a framework of neoclassical optimal growth theory. The theory of optimal economic growth not only provides the optimal capital-labor ratio but also illustrates the optimal path for the capital-labor ratio to reach the optimal level. Indeed, this is tantamount to elucidating the historical role of capitalism as the mechanism of machinery, capital accumulation, and capital multiplication.
