| 抄録: | Wind variations in the atmospheric boundary layer (ABL) over a large plane were investigated. The data observed by a wind profiler and a windmill anemometer at Nagoya Local Meteorological Observatory of the Japan Meteorological Agency were used for the study of diurnal wind variations in the season of autumn. In the daytime, the decrease of wind speed in the morning and the subsequent increase of it in the afternoon were observed in the ABL. At the surface, wind speed gradually increases and attains a maximum in the afternoon. We infer that downward transfer of momentum by the convection and turbulent mixing cause the wind variations in the ABL and at the surface. |
