| 抄録: | Can historians shed a new light on the ongoing discussion of contemporary Europe? This is the chief question this article intends to raise and tackle. The article comprises two papers. Koseki's paper tries to locate Brexit in the historical context of plural post-wars of 20th century Europe. Ferente's paper examines populist discourse in much longer historical perspectives, going back to ancient Rome. Both papers are attempts at demonstrating the relevance of historical perspectives, insights, and thinking to our understanding of the current affairs. |
