抄録: | From the mid-1950s until her death in 1975, Arendt was best known as a public intellectual. Arendt's audience is perhaps numerically smaller today than when she was alive, but it is also more serious and more genuinely international in character. Although there were many changes before the present situation of Hannah Arendt study, many scholars agree with each other that the all-absorbing passion of Hannah Arendt's life was "love of the world". According to James Bernauer who insists that Arendt's thought actually mirrors the Biblical faith , Arendt's love of the world are composed of three interrelated perspectives: a vision of human existence as worldly, an understanding of human community as political, and a portrait of the life of the mind's worldly tasks. Nevertheless, Bernauer criticizes her understanding of Christianity; for the reason she does not take up its vision of justice for the poor. This paper aims to analyze Arendt's main concept "love of the world" in detail, and reexamine her understanding of Christianity. Then we conclude by saying that the uncertainty of Arendt's point of views in Christianity become an inquiry to what we should refer whenever human life comes to the fore, that is, "love of the world", a title of the Human Condition. |
