<特別寄稿>海から始まった私の国土保全

Abstract

The author was born in the northwest edge of Hyogo prefecture. His home was located near sea. The bitter and pleasant experience at seashore brought him up to work for national land management projects through Tottori university, Ministry of Construction, JICE, MLIT, ICHARM and finally DPRI, Kyoto university. The field of the work assigned to seacoast conservation, dam planning, river administration, river planning, local work office management, consulting MLIT, conducting training course, extreme analysis and climate change impact analysis. The tangent hyperbolic function appeared three times. The author introduced the function as if he was charmed by the function. This article is not classified into scientific paper but a kind of autobiography. He says to the young people 1) do by yourself when you lost, 2) have wide experience and wide spectrum of approach and 3) have a deep insight.
