Japan has recently adopted a performance-based approach to its education policy, and therefore, evaluates the achievement level of educational programs using quantitative numerical targets. However, educational outcomes are not limited to quantification. Thus, this study aims to clarify educational outcomes that are difficult to evaluate numerically. Therefore, it used qualitative analysis methods for the Super Global High School (SGH) project, considering the process from multiple perspectives. Analyzing an interview survey of 12 high school graduates from one of the SGH-project-designated schools, the author examined how the graduates perceive the SGH educational program, that is, what they believe, learn, and consequently the impact they perceive. The interview analysis led to the following five findings: (1) Graduates believe that they have progressed owing to the learning environment of their high school and the SGH educational activities. (2) They believe that their learning experiences in high school had a positive effect on their studies and life at university. (3) Many interviewees mentioned that during high school, they acquired the learning skills and general-purpose abilities necessary for studying at university. (4) They realize that their learning experiences in high school had an impact on their career choices and future prospects. (5) They express their gratitude to teachers and the school they graduated from. Of these, (1) and (4) are common to the survey of high school students, however, (2), (3) and (5) are specific to graduates.en
