抄録: | When a radioactive liquid waste, containing some radioactive substance, is released or leaked from a plant using atomic energy or nuclear products and spread over the the ground surface in that place, it will percolate into the soil and an adsorbable substance contained in the liquid will be partly adsorbed by soil particles. As one of the fundamental studies on this problem, we discussed the motion of liquid through unsaturated porous media, then introduced a theory to estimate the variation of the concentration of radioactive substance in the flowing liquid. Furthermore, the validity of this theory was verified qualitatively by laboratory experiments with a filter column. |
