dc.description.abstractThe properties of grinding wheel have been presented by the “grade” measured by the scale of plastic deformation. However in order to clarify the behavior of a cutting edge during grinding, the properties of grinding wheel should be indicated by the value measured by the scale of elastic deformation. From the above mentioned point of view, in this paper the three-dimensional distribution of cutting edges which are necessary for analyzing the spring constant is first made clear and then the spring constant of grain mounting is analyzed to discuss the relation between the spring constant and grain size, bond material, bond ratio and dressing conditions.en
