| dc.description.abstract | When a breakdown of an air gap occurs under an impulse voltage, a transient arc is observed. In this paper, the transient arc is observed by means of a chopped wave voltage, a micro-photometer etc.. Then, the arc voltage, the arc current density, the arc channel brightness and the channel construction are investigated.
