dc.description.abstractNumerical analyses have been made on the ionizing shock reflection on a closed end of a shock tube by the use of the finite difference method. It was found that very interesting phenomena and complicated flowfields occur due to the interaction between inoization relaxation and reflected shocks. The exact numerical solutions were compared with the results of some simplified models. Calculations were performed for argon.en
