Abstract: | A new parallel computer system, ADENA ⅠⅤ, is proposed as a most hopeful candidate for the next generation machine for supercomputing. It is a complex of vector processor units and ADENA's network and may be called a vector-parallel computer. Details of the architecture are exposed in relation to its usage, and an example of compact design is shown as a model for personal supercomputing. ADENA ⅠⅤ will succeed the present supercomputers of the vector type as well as ADENA ⅠⅠ and ⅠⅠⅠ, and it promises to have merits in relation to both present highend techniques. Its parallel language also may succeed ADETRAN for the ADENA family. |
