Abstract

ベルクソンの最終主著『道徳と宗教の二源泉』は，社会的現象を，「閉じた社会」と「開いた社会」といった「閉じた」ものと「開いた」ものとの対概念によって分析している．しかしながら，「閉じた」ものから「開いた」ものへの移行という素朴な解釈格子を外したとき，『二源泉』の「閉じた」ものと「開いた」ものとの錯雑とした関係は未だ不透明なものである．本論は，ベルクソンの『二源泉』におけるゼノンの逆理解釈と『進化』におけるそれとの差異を浮き彫りにする作業を通じて，「閉じた｣／｢開いた」概念の統合的な理解をもたらすことを試みる．というのは，『二源泉』のベルクソンは，「閉じた道徳」をいかに「開く」かという問題を，運動論のフィールドに移し替え，独自の仕方で解釈されたゼノンの逆理解釈に対して応答することを通じて解こうとしているからだ．本論は「閉じた｣／｢開いた」という対概念の見通しがたい二義性を，「閉じた｣／｢開いた｣／｢開く」の三項関係から包括的に理解可能であることを示し，『二源泉』のより詳細かつ発展的な読解を提供する．

Bergsonʼs final work, Two Sources of Morality and Religion, analyzes social phenomena by the conceptual pairs of the “closed” and “open, ” such as “closed” society and “open” society. However, even after the naive hermeneutical grid dictating the transition from the closed to open is legitimately removed, the complex relationship between the closed and open remains blurred. This article seeks to develop an integrated understanding of the conceptual pairing of the closed and open by highlighting the differences between the interpretations of Zenoʼs paradox in Bergsonʼs Two Sources and his Creative Evolution, for in Two Sources, Bergson is attempting to solve the problem of how to open a closed morality by shifting the problem onto the field of the theory of movement and by responding to Zenoʼs paradox. This article provides a detailed and developed reading of Two Sources by demonstrating that the confused duality of the closed and open can be comprehensively understood in terms of a triadic relationship between the closed, open, and opening.
