Abstract: New and accurate measurements were made on the liquid-solid transition pressures of benzene, monochlorobenzene and toluene at 25℃. Pressures were directly measured with a free piston gauge of controlled-clearance type in the static state of no leak and no friction. Transitions were detected by difierential thermal analysis, the thermoelements of semiconductors being used. The values obtained were 706.5±0.5kg/cm^2 for benzene, 4, 650.2±1.0kg/cm^2 for monochlorobenzene, and 8, 598.9±1.9kg/cm^2 for toluene.
