Abstract

This is the second part of an article that attempts to clarify philosophically the meaning of human being in the present situation of the world. The modern age can be characterized as the time when the tendency of a split of man's being has developed in all aspects of our lives and the present age as the time when this tendency has become a great question and we have begun to be conscious of the problematic and critical character of a human being and its endless progress. In this second part of the article we examine the essential problems of man in the present age in regard to the split of man's being, especially in the field of society, arts, history and religion. In the problematic situation of the modern world all our deed must be brought into question. This situation in which all the art of being has become questionable is nothing but nihilism in the present time.
