Abstract

The modern medical science has obtained dazzling results under the scientific rationalism, moreover has a large pitfall. Japanese psychiatry has that pitfall, and was colored with the maintenance of the social security. In this paper, we discussed the following five problems in the Japanese psychiatry, and described the fundamental concepts and principles of the psychiatric rehabilitation and the application of occupational therapy. l. The illusion of health and the illusion of science 2. Lack of rehabilitation ideology 3. Evils of specialization and differentiation 4. No spreading collaboration team approach 5. Some confusion in Japanese psychiatry
