人工骨AW‐ガラス・セラミックを用いた動脈瘤様骨嚢腫 (ABC) の外科的治療法について

Abstract

Aneurysmal bone cyst (ABC) was first described as a distinct entity by Jaffe and Lichtenstein in 1942. The precise nature and pathogenesis of ABC remains uncertain. Jaffe referred to the possibility that an ABC may represent a secondary blowout change in some preexisting bone lesion. Authors review references about age, sex, location and treatment of ABC and report on the result of surgical treatment of secondary ABC. The surgical intervention consisted of intralesional curettage, surgical adjuvants (SA) by using Argone-beam coagulator and high speed burr, and bone grafting with artificial bone AW-glass ceramics. SA was effective in terms of coagulating the abnormal vascular component of primary ABC and cauterizing the preexisting bone tumor tissue in secondary ABC.
