幼児の健康促進環境を求めて―幼児の健康・環境調査から―

Abstract

A good environment is necessary for a child to have a healthy life. The authors inquired into the health and environment of 3 year old children, and obtained the following: 1. Children are influenced by the mother's attitude toward child-care. Mothers must avoid the following types of attitudes: positive refusal, negative refusal, over-protection with interference, over-protection with anxiety, implicit obedience, self-contradiction, disagreements within the family, and rigid control. 2. Children are influenced by the mother's mental disposition. Mothers need the support of assistants and advisers to avoid the following: non-social-coope-ration, anxious depression, unstable emotions, nervousness, and marital problems. 3. Children are influenced by the conditions of daily life: neighborhood, atomosphere in the family, contact density with mother and family, family financial status, and so on. Many others factor affect children: parents' academic background, mothers' employment hours, family members, and so on. However, it is impossible to avoid all problems. The authors investigated the optimum nurturing environment for troubled children, and tried to find the best way and advice for mothers with child-care problems.
