桜島に於ける水準測量結果について(第2報)及び桜島に於ける地盤変動観測について(続報)

Abstract

1955年10月13日に突然南岳山頂で爆発を起して活動を再開した桜島火山は, 5年後の現在依然として活動をつづけており, この間の主な爆発噴火丈でも数百回の多くをかぞえている。吾々は火山活動に伴う地盤変動を研究する事によって, 噴火の機巧或はその予知に関する手がかりを得るために, 佐々憲三教授の指導のもとに, 1956年以来桜島火山の地球物理学的な観測をつづけてきた。そしてそれ等の結果の一部は既に報告したが, この論文に於ては, それ以後に判明した結果について報告する。

For the study of the crustal movement accompanying with the volcanic activity, various geophysical observations-precise levelling, tidal guage, tiltmeter and exten-someter-have been continued in the Sakurajima volcano, at which eruptions have beenin the process since making the outburst on the 13th, Oct. 1955.In this paper, it will he discussed for results of three successive precise levellingscarried out during 1958~-%0, the upheaval movement of Sakurajima made clear by thetidal guage observation, and the forerunning phenomena of the volcanic eruptionrecorded by tiltmeters.
