粘土の破壊に関する二三の実験について

Abstract

地盤を構成する土の力学性を解明するには変形, 応力以外に時間的要素が加わり, またその力学的諸現象は応力履歴, 温度, 含水比, 飽和度等の因子の影響を受けるので, その破壊機構の力学的解明については, 以前から多くの人々により努力が加え続けられているが, 未だ体系づけられた解決は得られていない。こ、では載荷速度や, 応力履歴, ヒズミ履歴が破壊強度にいかなる影響を及ぼすかにつき, 三種の圧縮試験によりその力学性の解明を実験的に試みると同時に, その理論の発展についても努力した。

In order to investigate the effect of creep-history on the compressive strength of clay, unconfined compression tests were performed on the clay samples which had various creephistories.Main results obtained are as follows.The compressive strength of clay which creeped a certain duration under a constantstress higher than the upper yield value decreases with the stress intensity applied.The compressive strength of clay which had the residual creep strain caused by the stresslower than the upper yield value increases with the magnitude of the residual strain indepen-dent of creep-history prior to the compression test.
