Abstract

Inundation characteristic in the low-lying basin of lower reaches of Yamashina River, a branchof Yodo River, has been discussed under the analysis of observed data at Typhoon No. 24 in1965. As a result, it has been disclosed that the inundation in this district principally resultsfrom the high water of Yodo River.The equivalent roughness in the method of runoff analysis by the characteristics studied in theprevious report has been reexamined using the data, and its fitness has been recognized.Moreover, the states of inundation have been examined under the various conditions. As theresult, it has been concluded that inundation troubles in the district will be extremely mittigatedif the embankment works to protect the inland will be accomplished, but drainage facilitieswill become necessary if the urban land is more developed.
