dc.description.abstractA relationship between the magnitude of earthquake and frequency of occurrence wastreated in the case of the Matsushiro Earthquake Swarm. In order to cover pretty widerange of magnitude, a special observation was carried out, by use of four channels ofdifferent sensitivity. Some changes in the form of the frequency-distribution withmagnitude (Ishimoto-lida) were recognized.Mechanism of microearthquake was examined using the data obtained by a co-operativeobservation of several universities and institutes. Some differences in the mechanism wereobserved regarding about 30 earthquakes, and dependency of that difference upon themagnitude was suggested.en
