Abstract

The writers have by means of the electric resistivity, made a survey of the typical shatteredzone type of landslide areas at Zentoku, Oto, Kuraishi, Gotokudanigawa, Wada, and Nyutai, inShikoku.The electric prospecting was conducted through the lateral sounding, based on the electricresistivity method. The results are summerized as follows.1) The topographical and geological phenomena of the shattered zone type landslide areas donot always fit into the distribution of the apparent resistivity value, but each landslide area ofZentoku, Kuraishi and Nyutai is almost the same in its distribution.2) That the relation between the topographical, geological phenomena and the distribution ofthe apparent resistivity value of the shattered zone type of landslide areas is not necessarily con-sistent, is due to the condition of grounding electrode, rugged layers of unhomogeneity, low reliefson ground, and others.
