| 抄録: | The seismic activity and its relation to the tectonic stress field in the Kansai area, Southwesta an were discussed.Spacial distribution and focal mechanisms of large, small and micro earthquakes coincidentallysuggest that the Kansai area is mainly in a stress field of E W compression, but the Pacificcoastal zone is affected by the tectonic stress of N-S compression. These phenomena are wellinterpreted by presuming actions of both the Pacific and Philippine Sea plates. |
