dc.description.abstractWe extend our investigations of relationship between the composition of water and the orderof weathered rocks which we have mentioned in our previous paper.In this paper, we describe a relation between characters of ground waters and weathering ofrocks.Our investigation is from August 1969 to January 1970, ground water samples were taken atintervals of two weeks. On the other hand, we tried a few experiments on the effect of the consis-tency of water composition on the weathered rocks.Temperature, pH and conductivity values were measured in the field. Chemical constituentssuch as Na+, K+, Ca2++Mg2+ and soluble Si02 were determined in the laboratory.The main results are the following two:(1) The concentrations of Ca2++Mg2+ increased in the landslid areas after small rainfall.(2) The grade of weathered rock is roughly proportional to ionic concentration in groundwaters within the limits of this soluble experiment for rocks.en
