抄録: | Model experiments are performed to investigate the vibrational characteristics of pipe struc-tures in the near-surface ground of which physical properties vary spatially using the model groundsand pipes mounted on a shaking table. Theoretical analyses arc also carried out concerning themodification on the characteristics of wave transmission caused by irregular boundaries in thenear-surface ground. Two cases are treated in the experiments and theoretical analyses. Thefirst case is that two ground with different physical properties are in contact in the plane inclinedwith a certain angle from the horizontal ground surface and the second one is that the homogeneoussurface ground is overlaying the rigid base ground of which depth from the ground surface variesstepwise. More important results concerning the dynamic characteristics of pipe structures ina such ground treated arc deduced from the present study. |
