dc.description.abstractThis paper deals with the turbulence characteristics of free surface flows over some artificialwavy beds. The turbulence measuremeists were carried out in a laboratory flume using a hot-filmflowmeter of wedge-shaped type.Two kinds of artificial wavy beds were used. One was a triangular wavy bed, which had asimilar geometry to dune-type sand waves, and the other a redge type, in which various ratios ofseparation to height were used. The experimental investigations were made about the turbulencecharacteristics, such as the turbulence intensity, the skewness factor and the spectrum.en
