| dc.description.abstract | Tests of 32 specimens of ] -shape subassembly reinforced concrete frames consisting ofcolumn failed in shear are made to know the elastic-plastic behavior involved in the largedeformation range under monotonic and alternately repeated horizontal load with their columnssimultaneously subjected to constant axial load. The principal variables of the testing programare (I) the amount of axial load, (2) the amount of web reinforcement of column, and (3)the length of beam and column. The loading apparatus is designed to meet the state ofstress in actual frame. The program of cyclic loading is such that the deflection amplitude isincreased and three cycles of loading are done at each amplitude.The effects of experimental parameters on the strength, stiffness, ductility and energydissipation are carefully studied and simplified mathematical model of shear bond failuremechanism of column are discussed. | en |
