dc.description.abstractWhen we set a slit dam at the upper end of a reservoir, the bed load deposits forming a delta.Although the suspended load also deposits downstream of the delta, it is carried away throughthe slit under some condition.In this study, the flow and sedimentation near a slit dam are analysed by means of one di-mensional method.When the control section appears at the dam, the specific energy corresponding to a givendischarge is calculated from the critical depth, but the coefficient for the pressure head is lessthan unity and decided by some experiments.en
