琵琶湖周辺の気象 (3) -湖陸風の鉛直構造-

Abstract

In order to study the land and lake breeze over the Lake Biwa Basin, observations of thevertical wind and the surface wind were carried out at eight sites around the Lake Biwa duringfrom 26 to 27 July, 1979.The land and lake breeze appeared over the plain, and the mountain and valley wind, overthe mountain area. When the land and lake breeze appears, the atmosphere below about 2000 mseems to be empty of the upper layer with the general wind and be divided into two layers. Thelower is the divergent (convergent) layer with the lake (land) breeze. The land breeze wasstrengthened at night. The middle layer is the convergent in the daytime and divergent at night.Westerly wind prevailed in the daytime and southerly wind, at night in the middle layer.
