丘陵地源流域における流出現象と地中水の挙動

Abstract

The study describes overland flow phenomena in relation to dynamic responses of subsurfacewater in a small forested watershed located in the western suburbs of Tokyo (Fig. 1). The fieldevidence showed that the major portion of overland flow was produced by outflowing water from thesoil surface through decayed stumps and soil piping outlets. Outflowing points were found in smallrestricted areas on the valley floor where hydraulic gradients of subsurface water showed upwardflow toward the ground surface. These phenomena were largely controlled by dynamic conditionsof the flow system within the subsurface zone.
