抄録: | Observational studies on the runoff process, sediment yield and transport have been carriedout in an experimental basin, Ashiaraidani (6.5 km2), which is a tributary of the Jintsu River inGifu Prefecture, Japan. In this basin all aspects of sediment transportation which appear in themountain ravines, namely, bed load, suspended load, wash load, and debris flow can be seen undervarious rainfalls and discharge conditions.In this paper, at first, behaviors of the debris flows along the stream channel and passingthrough a grid type dam which is constructed to control debris flows are discussed in view of theobserved facts in the Shiramizudani. Secondly, the process of sediment transport during a floodon the steep channels with sequential falls and pools were considered by means of the grain-sizeand petological classification of transported gravels in reference to the geological distribution in theHirudani basin (0.85 km2). |
