抄録: | The kinematic wave model for stream network systems, which is a distributed runoff model, istransformed into a lumped runoff model which we call a "reservoir cascade" model.The reservoir cascade model for stream network systems is obtained through the followingprocedure: the stream network is partitioned into a number of sub-networks; the relation betweenthe discharge at the exit of each sub-network and the storage within the sub-network is determinedby assuming that the water-surface profile can be approximated by that in a steady state; eachsub-network is regarded as a cascade of reservoirs.To apply the reservoir cascade model to a stream network system we must determine thenumber of partitions of the stream network system and the positions of partition points. It is noteasy to do this because of multi-dimensionality and variety of the stream network. So we showthe method to divide the stream network in consistent with the characteristics of the reservoircascade model, in which we utilize the geometric pattern function and the structure of the lumpingerror in case of the single channel. |
