dc.description.abstractThe three eastward-moving disturbances localized near the tropopause was investigated with using IMA (Japan Meteorological Agency) global analysis data during November 1992-February 1993.These events are considered to be the equatorial trapped internal Kelvin waves with upward energy propagation.These waves have large amplitude only in the several ten longitudes around the western Pacific.The wave form is far from sinusoidal.Changing to the westerly and warming is much more rapid than changing to the easterly and cooling.en
