Abstract

In this paper, basic elements of decision making for disaster crisis management was reviewed in referrence to utility model for decision theory. As the basis for effective decision making, understanding of disaster processes were found to be an indespensable element, which consists of response, relief, and reconstruction activities. Six information systems designed for disaster crisis management were outlined for effective decision making. Finally, CALS for disaster management was intorduced to integrate all information systems into a more effective diaster management tool.
