dc.description.abstract地震調査委員会は中央構造線(MTL)についてのいわゆる「活断層評価」で四国全域の断層が三つの部分に分れて16世紀のほぼ同時期に活動したと認定した。濃尾地震の地震動分布から推定すると，阿波で起った大地震はこの地域の社会を根底から揺るがすと同時に畿内においても程度の差こそあれ被害を生じさせる様な地震となるはずである。現在の史料地震学の到達点からその存在が知られていないのは大変不思議である。そこで筆者はMTLでの「地変」が初めて歴史地震との関連で考えられた岡田による上喜来トレンチの解釈と石橋による「鳴門隆起説」を詳しく検討した。その結果いずれの場合もMTLの活動，前者では父尾断層，後者では鳴門断層の活動を認定する事は出来なかった。ja
dc.description.abstractThe Earthquake Research Committee evaluated that all of the segments of the Median Tectonic Line in Shikoku moved in 16th century. If a great earthquake occurred in Awa(Tokushima), the eastern part of Shikoku, the strong ground motion should have arrived at Kyoto, the capital of the Middle Ages. It is very curious that no documents on earthquakes exist. The author examined the explanations of Okada and Ishibashi in which the fault movement traces were related to the historical earthquake in Shikoku for the first time. However I could not verify both of the explanations.en
