抄録: According to I. Tamm (Proc. Soc. Expl. Biol. & Med.; 74, 108, 1950), the activity of the human urine to inhibit the red blood cell agglutination by virus-action, are attributed to the existence of the mucoprotein. By means of their alcoholic precipitation method, we also have isolated from the normal urine the sample, which was soluble in water and in sulfosalicylic acid and was positive in Biuret and Molish's tests. Further we found that this substance was highly active in Donaggio test, the test showing the urinal activity as a colloid, and also significantly influenced the lability test of serum protein, such as Weltmann or Kürten'stest. (Kürten, H. F.: Klin. Wschr., 18, 667, 1939). Therefore, the alcoholic precipitant of the urine are actitive colloids in the protection of protein solubility. From these facts, we opine that the alcohol-precipitant of urine are identical to the mucoprotein and its nature can be examined polarographically, since it became apparent that the polarographic filtrate test of Brdicka (Klin. Wschr. 18, 305, 1939) represents the mucoprotein. (Winzler R. J. et al.: J. Clin. Invest. 27, 609, 1948). First, we have demonstrated that the substance, which showed the polarographic protein wave in urine from the solution of cobaltic ammonium buffered, are all contained in the alcoholic precipitant of urine (Fig 2-3), while the colloid in the supernatant soluble fraction has merely an action as an interfering facter against the protein wave, and fortunately this interfering action does not influence the height of protein wave. (Fig. 6) Then, the relationship between the content of isolated mucoprotein and the wave-height was determined (Fig. 4), which was similar to the one obtained from serum protein, but different from the letter because of the absence of the phenomenon, the so-called "Kreuzungseffekte" (Tropp, C. et al.: Z. physiol. Chemie, 262, 225, 1939) in urinal as well as in serum-mucoprotein. (Fig. 5) Therfore, we assume that two mucoproteins are identical. Finally, in the clinical investigation the increasing amounts of mucoprotein were found both from the serum and the urine in diseases (Tab. 1-2), especially in cases suffered from cancerous or acute-inflammatory diseases.
