終助詞の機能について : 伊勢方言のニの用法の記述と「よ」との比較

Abstract

This paper aims at describing the basic functions of the sentence-final particle 'ni' used in Ise dialect (Mie prefecture) particularly in comparison to 'yo' in standard Japanese. From a prosodic point of view, two types of ni can be distinguished, namely, ni↑ and ni↓, and they show different pragmatic features. Ni↑ roughly corresponds to yo↑ in standard Japanese, while ni↓ has no functional counterpart in standard Japanese and can be characterized as a marker of information that can be known to the hearer and others as well as to the speaker.
