泌尿器科領域に於ける剥離細胞学の研究 I:尿路の剥離細胞と性周期との関係(特にestrogen投与時の変化)

Abstract

As a result of cytological study of the desquamated c ells of the urinary tract by means of Papanicolaou's principle method, Keio's modified method, or Shorr's modified method during a period of a month on 25 women including female children, normal adult, postmenopausal, and pregnant women, and those who were with leueoplakia of the bladder and who were administered estrogen, or progesterone, it was possible to make clear that there was sexual cycle in the urinary tract. In the above subjects, there h ave been found regular and consistent changes in the cornified and granule cells. These cells either increased or decreased parallel to cycle of estrogen in the control group. The cornified cells changed almost similarly to the changes in the control group in those women who were with leueoplakia of the bladder and who were administered estrogen, but the granule cells changed opposite to the cornified cells. There were no definite sexual cyclic changes in femal children, pregnant and postmenopausal women and there were no significant changes in the cells in those women who were administered androgen and progesterone.
